Rather Labs Talent

Rather Labs Talent (now Huntify) is an AI-powered hiring platform built to eliminate the noise from technical recruitment. Companies create job listings, define evaluation criteria, and let the AI conduct structured interviews — then receive scored candidate profiles ranked by fit.

The Challenge

Technical hiring is slow and noisy. Recruiters spend hours screening candidates who look good on paper but don't match the role. Hiring managers context-switch constantly to run first-round interviews. Signal-to-noise ratio is low, especially at volume.

Rather Labs wanted a tool that could handle the top of the funnel autonomously — conducting structured, consistent interviews and surfacing ranked candidates with objective scores, not just resumes.

Our Approach

We built Rather Labs Talent (now Huntify) entirely in-house as a product experiment in AI-driven hiring automation.

LLM-driven interview flows — The platform generates role-specific interview questions from the job listing and evaluation criteria. Each candidate goes through a structured async interview: the AI asks questions, listens to responses, and probes for depth where needed.

Structured scoring rubrics — Responses are evaluated against a rubric defined per role — covering technical depth, communication clarity, and criteria specific to the position. Every candidate gets a consistent scoring pass, eliminating interviewer-to-interviewer variance.

Ranked candidate profiles — Hiring managers receive a ranked shortlist with per-criterion scores and highlighted response excerpts, making it easy to decide who to advance without watching hours of recordings.

Outcomes

The platform cut time-to-hire significantly on internal engineering roles by removing unstructured first-round screens. Signal quality improved: candidates advanced to technical rounds had measurably higher match rates.

The product has since been spun out as Huntify, available at huntify.xyz.
